We had our Annual Palmer Family Rebellion over the weekend of the 4th. It was really fun and 9 out of the 10 siblings were able to come (at least for part of the time) which was pretty great. We really missed the Andrus family who couldn't make it. We started at the 4th of July Parade in Mt. Pleasant which was so fun. The kids are at the perfect age. Last year Tyce wouldn't go out in the road to get candy because we lived on a super busy street at the time and we had hounded him to death not to go in the road, ha! But this year he was all over it.
Jacey discovered that not only was there candy being thrown, but princesses on a float and Popsicle's to boot! She was in heaven. Some of life's greatest treasures in one parade - pure bliss.
I love when all the cousins get together. Its so fun.
After the parade we all headed up the mountain to camp for a few days. We went fishing and kids caught quite a few. They were small but when your 5 and 2, the size of the fish is completely irrelevant.
Life at its finest.

Jacey and Lainey were chill'en by the fire. They were just chatting, I so wish I would have heard their conversation because their expressions alone were pretty entertaining.
They had a boat making contest and this is Tyce's.....dont mind the morning hair, I meant to cut it before we left, wups.
After the boat race, the kids jumped in the spill-way. It was so funny to watch.
We sure love our family. It was such a great time. We stayed in a tent and the first night was full of lightening and thunder and rain that sounded like tennis balls on our tent. It leaked a little but too bad. Me and Rustin laid awake until about 4am. The kids slept right through it, unreal! Tyce woke up once and asked what it was. I told him it was thunder and he just said "oh" and went back to sleep. I was so grateful for good sleepers. The next night it rained the whole night but we were tired enough to have gotten a little more sleep. All and all it was a great time. Thanks to the Matt and Stacey family for putting it together.
