baby animal day field trip

Tyce's class went to the American West Heritage Center for baby animal days and he was sooooooo excited to ride the bus. I met them there to help chaperon and let Jacey see the animals too.

This picture sums up his bus ride excitement, ha! Cracks me up.

Tyce always takes good care of Jacey and it melts my heart. Whenever they are anywhere together, he always holds her hand and makes her feel happy. In the above picture, she wanted to pet the baby goat but was kind of scared so Tyce held her hand and walked her over and encouraged her and then she was brave enough. At church Jacey is kind of scared of her teacher so Tyce always takes her hand and brings her over to sit by him in his class. The primary sang a song in sacrament and Jacey was nervous so Tyce took her hand and stood by her and made sure she found a place. It's the cutest thing.

The weather was perfect and the kids loved it. Rustin took his lunch break to come with us too which was fun.

Easter

I am so behind on my blog it's ridiculous. My goal is to post everyday this week and try to catch up a little but I thought I would start with the most recent. We had such a fun Easter. I love Easter probably more then Christmas because it is simple, beautiful and comes with no stress and for some reason twix, snickers, and kit-kats taste way better in pink, yellow and blue wrappers.....to say nothing of cad-bury mini eggs (I have eaten myself sick several times and plan to do it again next Easter just to keep up with tradition).

We hid candy around the house which I love doing because it is one of my favorite childhood memories and then we hid some eggs outside as well. (when I say "we" I mean "I", Rustin was still in bed but I couldnt sleep because I was so excited)

I love her morning hair :)

all the loot :)

I love all their morning faces. It kind of annoys me that Rustin can wake up just as good looking as he went to bed......me on the other hand, something very deteriorating happens during the night.

Every Easter I have resisted buying them new church clothes but I saw this blue dress at Kohls and I just couldnt leave it there! I think Tyce looks so handsome in green. I really love these two.....most of the time.....when they look this cute, it really helps :)

I think I am way more in love with her dress then she is so I had to take a bajillion pictures. I know they probably all look the same, but just humor me.

I made ham and funeral potatoes for dinner which is my all time favorite Easter tradition. My friend gave me and idea to make resurrection rolls for dinner which I thought was a cute idea so I tried it and they totally flopped. I so wish I would have taken a picture because they looked so ridiculous - I had a good laugh. You were suppose to put a marshmallow in the roll dough and then when they cook the marshmallow is suppose to melt and leave a hollow roll to represent the tomb hence "resurrection rolls". Well the marshmallow leaked and I didnt cook them long enough so it was a disgusting sticky mess - the kids barely ate them (with only a few violent threats). Better luck next year :)

That evening we dyed eggs. The kids enjoyed it way more this year then ever before so it was pretty fun.

Here is one of Super Y just because they other 2 dominated the pictures :)

But all in all, we had a great Easter. The kids are in such a prime phase for holiday fun. They are so excited about anything and everything. I sort of wish I could freeze them.......until they start fighting and screaming and throwing fits, then I could probably sell them or at least dream about them going away to college :) Anyhow, Happy super late Easter!
