Snow Shoeing

We went snow shoeing with Eric and Kate on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and very pretty. There wasn't near enough snow and it was actually easier to walk without the snow shoes, which kind of defeats the purpose, but whatever, we still had fun.


This picture doesn't adequately depict the steepness of this hill. We had to walk on all fours to get to the top. Me and Kate were ahead of Rustin and Eric, hence the bum shots.





A post wouldn't be complete without some picture of Tyce. He absolutely loves his books. He loves to turn the pages and I'll find him sitting on the floor looking at his books all the time. It's so cute.

Little boy in pink...

We went up to my sister's house on New Years and went snowmobiling. I didn't have a snow suit for Tyce so Hayley let me borrow Evelyn's. Rustin was ultra annoyed that his son was in pink but I thought it was funny. Tyce doesn't look too thrilled either. Ha!

Little bare bum

This was right before his tub the other night. He loves his fire truck!

Pushing Snow...

Grandpa Leishman took Tyce on the tractor with him pushing snow. I wish I could have got a picture of Tyce's smile. He was so excited to be on the tractor.

Recap of last week...

So we had our own family Christmas party where we opened one present besides the pj's I made. Here is Tyce with his little stalking.


He would have been perfectly content with only the candy cane.


So these are the pj's I made. I forgot to take a picture with all of us with our matching jammies...well I didn't forget, I thought I would take a picture at Christmas, but Rustin forgot his..... and so it goes.


Tyce got sick. He had a nasty cough and was wheezing really heavy (because he has asthma) so we had to put him on the nebulizer all week which was very exciting.


This is his "Holy Cow I'm so excited this Christmas morning" face. Or something like that.


His favorite toy was this fire engine that Grandma and Grandpa Walker gave him. He was so excited when he opened it. It was so cute. He didn't like riding it as much as he liked playing with the wheels. He has a wheel fetish. He loves wheels of any kind, truck tires , 4-wheeler tires, lawn mowers, wheels on the suit case, wheels on the dish washer basket, etc.



Great Grandma and Grandpa Mickel gave Jayden (Rustin's sister Rachel's little boy) and Tyce these little rocking chairs. They loved them. It was really cute.


They both loved their fire engines. Tyce is one month older then Jayden. It is so fun to have them so close.


We went to the annual Mickel sledding party on Saturday and Tyce just wanted to sit on the 4-wheeler the whole time.



I didn't have any snow pants so I borrowed Rustin's Dad's coveralls - very warm.



We put Tyce and Jayden in a tub together but these are the pre-tub pictures. They were so funny together. We were laughing so hard. (Sorry some of these pictures are so blurry. The camera had been in the cold car and I couldn't get it to de-fog.)


They were hugging, pulling hair, biting, poking each others eyes. It was great.





They were both splashing frantically.




Well I might have gone a little overboard with all the pictures but we thought it was fun.



Tyce got kind of sick of the splashing but Jayden didn't. He would have splashed for a week. We had a wonderful Christmas break - hope all of you did too!

Mmmmmm

Tyce loves things with flavor like ketchup, BBQ sauce, A1 sauce, cocktail sauce but wont' eat a cherrio. However, his very most favorite food is rice cereal, which is incredibly bland - I don't know. Strange little boy. It cracks me up because he says mmmm after every bite.

Rustin's Graduation

Rustin graduated on Saturday, Wa-hoo! We are pretty excited to be done. The commencement was good. They kept it pretty short so that was nice. It was snowing like crazy Saturday morning though and it was super cold.


Tyce was pretty good throughout the graduation. He bounced from person to person, so he was pretty entertained.


All he wanted was Rustin's tassel.


My parents came up for the graduation in the storm. It was so great to have them there.


Rustin's parents and two little sisters came up the night before and stayed with us, it was so great to have them there as well, especially to help with Tyce throughout the commencement.


So I have been sewing some Christmas pj's for us and Tyce has to be sitting right on my lap or he gets so mad. He loves to watch. My Mom gave me this sewing machine for my graduation two years ago and this is only the second time I've used it ....so maybe I'll be a semstress yet, who knows.


Tyce sat on Santa's lap at the ward Christmas party. He just stared at him and wasn't sure what to think but he was pretty thrilled about the candy cane he received.
