Mickel Camp

We just got back from Mickel Camp, ie Rustin's family reunion. We had such a great time doing everything we love with those that we love. The most perfect five days. We went fishing more in the last few days then we have in the last few years. We would fish morning and evening almost everyday - it was perfect.
Tyce absolutely fell in love with fishing which was the cutest thing. I so hope fishing is something that Tyce and Rustin will have just like Rustin and his Dad and Rustin's Dad and his Dad, etc :) Keeping up the tradition :)
Jacey was not so in love with the fishing as she was the mud and rocks but she never fell in the water so I count it as a success :) My favorite was the little purple skirt, can you see it? She got it at the kids store that they do and she wore it for three days til it became absolute shreds....we had to throw it away.

Jacey stole my hat and I took a few pics. She looked so dang cute in it.

I wish you could see Tyce reel in a fish. He just giggles the whole time - I love it :)
This is the sweet face she gives me all the time.......she is such a sassy pants.....but we wouldnt have her any other way :)

summer goings on

Here are a few summer pics. Popsicles of course. I get so sick of scrubbing Popsicle stains out of their shirts so I am in to just taking their shirts off, saves lot of Shout :) Dont worry, we stay on the back porch :)
We put Jacey in a big bed in Tyce's room last month and she has LOVED it. It is so cute. The transition was so smooth, I was surprised. They seem to love being in the same room and having someone sleep next to them. Its been nice.

We went to the zoo on the 4th of July because I was so sad not to be home for the 4th so we thought the zoo might be fun.

 The classic gorilla pic :)

We went up to Star Valley to watch the Ranch Rodeo. My sister put a team together so we all went up to watch. It was such a fun weekend.
We went horse riding with the cousins...
 and the parade....

we went to a lake where Jacey promptly slipped and fell in. The water was ice cold and she couldnt cry for a long time because it completely took her breath away. My sister was scrambling to get her out and I just sat there laughing my face off. It was the funniest thing! I would have given anything to have gotten that on video.

This was Jacey after she fell in - she was little ticked off :)

This is kind of a random pic but lately Tyce has been into cutting up cardboard boxes with a knife. Rustin is slightly disturbed that I let me play with the knife but he is being so creative and imaginative, I just couldnt bring myself to take the knife away. He made the most amazing garbage truck and speed train. A box, a knife, and duck tape - pretty cheap entertainment and he has been doing it for hours a day. He is getting really good with the knife and has learned to cut away from his hand (he did actually cut himself once but he is learning :)) I love watching his mind work and see him be so creative. I love his little concentrating face :)
Sorry these pictures are all over the place but I kiffed these pics from my sisters blog. These are some of the Ranch Rodeo in Star Valley. It was so fun!

They had the calf chase and Tyce went down and then just sat there and stared at all the kids and didnt move - but he got his ice cream ticket so thats all that matters :)

Animal Control

We went on a gorgeous 4-wheeler ride when we were home last and Jacey loved it. She looked so funny with her helmet and goggles but she thought she was something special. She looked like a bobble head and her balance was all off. It was so cute :)

We went on a walk the other day and Jacey threw a pretty incredible tantrum because she didnt want to ride in the stroller, she wanted to walk, and then she wanted to push the stroller but she wasnt tall enough, then she wanted to get back in the stroller but the buckles were bothering her, I got her out again but couldnt keep her out of the road so put her back in the stroller where she hit her arm, etc, etc, until she fell in a screaming, kicking heap on somebody's lawn. I kept praying they weren't home because I was so embarrassed. I couldnt help chuckle as I resisted the urge to hold her up, screaming and kicking with yesterday's pony tail that looked wilder then ever to the Animal Control truck that happened to drive by and yell "HERE, I FOUND IT! TAKE IT!".......or at least ask them for a tranquilizer.... Ha! Well thats a typical Jacey episode but its always amazing to me that when I think she has done it all, she dumps an entire bottle of glue in the desk drawers, covering lots of important papers, spread peanut butter on my phone, dumps out Tyce's antibiotics, and dumps some childrens ib profen in a cup and drinks it, the list goes on and on. She is a real treat :) I dont mean to paint a horrible picture of her. She really is the light of my life and makes me laugh so hard so many times throughout the day. Its just that the disasters she creates are easier to describe then her hysterical facial expressions and mannerisms. But we really love her :) She is a party!

a gift.....

This morning I saw a sunrise that literally stopped me in my tracks. I was running along not really thinking about anything and I looked over and saw the most breathtaking view. I seriously just haulted. The sun was florescent and was just shooting out rays from behind that mountains and barely touching on the tops of the trees and just starting to light up a yellow field of barley. The contrast between the grain that was hit by the sun and those that hadn't yet been touched was stunning. The trees seemed so brilliantly green. The birds were singing and the smell with the irrigation water in the air mixed with soil was absolutely heaven sent....or perhaps heaven's scent :) I cant adequately describe everything I saw and felt but I was so caught up in the moment, I didn't want it to end. I felt so warm and felt like Heavenly Father gave me that gift. It is a memory I hope to store vividly. I want to keep it and return to it on those nights when I cant get my mind to slow down enough to sleep. I wish I could describe it better but I am just so sincerely grateful for that sweet, unexpected gift.

random pictures

This is Jacey helping my mom weed the sandbox :)

Me and my sisters played in a tournament up in Star Valley. We had such a blast. We played really well and took third in the tournament. So so fun!
Jacey helping Grandma pick the Lilacs :)

A friend gave them a purple pop. They thought they died and went to heaven. Of course jacey had to have hers in a cup and use a spoon so as to assure we could make the BIGGEST purplest stains on her clothes.....she's a sweetheart like that :)
