So we went cross country skiing the other day. It was fun, but the snow was a little too slushy and if you got off the trail you got hung up in rocks and sage brush but still fun.

Cali took this picture awhile ago and I thought it was cute - good job Cal. So Tyce is one and walking and it has been so fun to watch but so painful too. He is getting a little over confident and he tries to run and as a result he gets lots injuries. Story #1 Yesterday we were outside and he was walking through this huge puddle and then he tripped and fell. He was absolutely drenched, his clothes were soaked and the wind was so cold, his lips were purple and his face was dripping with muddy water. Of course I was laughing so hard. I wish so badly that I would have gotten a picture. He looked like a drowned kitten. He was heart broken and wouldn't quit whimpering until I had all his clothes off and wrapped in a blanket. Story #2 He runs into walls all of the time. I don't know if he just gets off balance, or he just has the coordination of his mom, but he is always running into walls - face first and will often bloody his mouth. Story #3 He thinks he can walk down the stairs frontwards so the other day he fell all the way down the stairs. He cried for a second and then went right back to the stairs, meanwhile I couldn't quit crying after watching his body twist and fall like that. Story #4 I had to get rid of our coffee table because he kept hitting his head or plopping down on the corner and hitting his tail bone and he would cry every time he would fall on his bum. Story #5 This morning he tripped and hit the corner of a wooden stair and his bottom tooth went right through his lip. His mouth was full of blood and once again, he cried for a second and then was back to playing while I can't stop crying until I call my mom and she tells me it will be ok. His lip is purple and swollen and it breaks my heart.
Well, it's only the beginning and I'm sure I'll tough'n up but Wow!
